The Martin Presence Group has hit many obstacles throughout their years in the property business. They have to deal with things like unkempt lawns, trash and debris left behind, et cetera. But recently, Corey Martin has started a total rehabilitation on one property. The obstacle? Mold. The overgrowth of mold and mildew was such that a professional environmental company was called in to clean every surface and that was just the beginning. Now that it is safe to do so, they will begin to dismantle it completely. Everything will be torn out and totally redone.
This backbreaking project actually shows us the importance of taking care of our properties and using our utilities wisely. In this particular property, the tenant discontinued utility services without informing the Martin Presence Group for months at a time, which is the ultimate root of the problem. Mold and mildew are nurtured mostly by moisture and darkness. So to protect your house from it, things like measuring humidity levels, regularly checking up on heat and AC, and quickly cleaning up any spilled water and leaks. Also, when you leave your home for a long period of time, having someone check in on your house is a good idea.
