Good Luck Going Green!

Are you a big St Patrick’s Day person? I don’t know about you, but I always seem to get pinched when I don’t wear green– I mean is that a rule or something?

Anyways, while we are all busy getting our lucky green on this March, I’m here to tell you how you can get your green on in your yard! Coming into Spring, flowers are blooming, grass is growing, and sometimes keeping your landscape in check can feel overwhelming. But don’t worry– Corey Martin knows a thing or two about it!

The best thing you can do to keep your yard looking beautiful is cleaning out! Just like inside your home, your plants need some remodel! One way to clean it up a little is to "dead head". On any plant or flower you have, there are some dead leaves and shriveled blooms. Clipping these off gives a clean look while also improving your plants health! Another good practice is to weed. Now, you probably rolled your eyes when you read that, because no one likes to weed! But, when you pull out all the weeds surrounding your landscape it brings forth a sharp, healthy scene.

Another tip is to repot your potted plants! This may seem a little strange but taking your flowers/plants and putting them into fresh soil, and a bigger pot if it’s outgrown its own, makes them very happy!! And let’s be honest, it’s just time to upgrade some of those faded pots we’ve had in our yard forever. For your plants in the dirt, you can still re-soil. Also, if you use pine straw, it is always healthy and pretty to refresh your it.

Lastly, of course, you can keep a nice, trimmed yard. Our very own Fairy YardFathers can help with that! It’s the season for mowing lawns!!

So, go get your green on!!
