The Beloved Off-Day
At last, it is Labor Day! From the time summer ends, we wait patiently for that relaxing off day. While the Martin Presence Group and I are extremely excited to sleep in, the purpose and history of it cannot be overlooked. Labor Day is to honor the effort and achievements of Americans. In the 19th century, workers were working grueling hours with hardly any token of appreciation. It was after many strikes and a deadly railroad protest that on July 28, 1894, Labor Day Holiday was signed as a law by President Grover Cleveland.
Since then, “Labor Day” has been nationally recognized in acknowledgement of American workers and their efforts. Corey Martin is extremely thankful for his employees. Without his coworkers, the Martin Presence Group would not accomplish half of what it does now. From day-to-day to extensive remodels to a simple cleanup, it takes the whole team. Without each and every one’s commitment, the Martin Presence Group wouldn’t be here. So, when you’re slowly sipping your coffee this Labor Day, take some time to thank those dedicated coworkers that you couldn’t do without.
