What is up with the ocean?
Good morning everybody! I hope your June is going great so far! It’s still pretty rainy and dreadfully hot. But, it makes great for a nap. (Anyone else on a two week nap streak?) Speaking of weather, we’re starting hurricane season off with a bang. On Tuesday, the first tropical storm of the 2024 season was issued. It is predicted to hit southern Texas, but not predicted to become anything further than a tropical cyclone.
In other beach news, there have been many shark sightings and even attacks in the past few weeks. It’s been so bad that Florida authorities have actually warned beach-comers and shut down various beaches. In two separate shark attacks on Friday, three people were hurt. Authorities think the sharks may be due to years of overfishing. Whatever the case may be, just be careful when you’re out soaking up the saltwater. Keep your eyes peeled 👀🦈
