The Beautiful Chaos Before Summer

May is a whirlwind. It’s a month filled with countdowns, celebrations, testing, field trips, and final grades—all wrapped in the kind of busyness only the end of a school year can bring. Teachers are closing out lesson plans, students are buzzing with excitement (and a bit of restlessness), and parents are juggling recitals, award ceremonies, and graduation prep. It’s beautiful chaos.

There’s something bittersweet about these last few weeks. They mark the end of routines and the growth of another year. Students are a little taller, a little wiser. Teachers feel the exhaustion of giving their all—and the pride that comes with it.

And just beyond the final bell? Summer. A season of reset, adventure, and long, slow days. Whether it’s time at the beach, lazy mornings, or planning ahead for what’s next, summer always brings a breath of fresh air and the promise of something new.

So here’s to May: hectic, heartwarming, and hopeful. The finish line is in sight—and the sunshine is calling.
